(note: I got some CDs for Christmas…)

You just have to love who you love.

If we can learn any lesson from these acres of grief,
It’s to live for what we have now.

Some people can’t get success with their art,
Some people never feel love in their heart,
Some people can’t tell the two things apart,
But I keep rollin’ on.
And one bonus lesson I learned:

George Washington wanted to own a country
But he was poor, he was poor
So he sold cherry trees from his truck
And when he had enough money
He moved to the United States with his dog, Martha.
But his friends from before
Were mad that he left
So they came to kill him.
He ran to the river
With the bad guys behind
And parted the waters
And walked through them with his dog, Martha.
But the river closed and swallowed up the bad guys, so he moved
To Valley Forgery with his dog, Martha
Where he invented money with his face on it
And everybody used it so he got rich enough
To buy the country
And make himself president.
But what did he say
As he went on his way?
You gotta think big
Aim high.
Why rent when you can buy?
You gotta think big
Stand tall
And you can do anything at all.

If you don’t mind having to go without things,
It’s a fine life!

Having just a vision’s no solution,
Everything depends on execution.

Getting your dreams
It’s strange, but it seems
A little…well…complicated.

Life’s a ball
If only you know it
And it’s all just waiting for you
You’re alive,
So come on and show it
We got a lot of livin’ to do!

Believe in yourself, right from the start
You’ll have brains
You’ll have a heart
You’ll have courage
To last your whole life through

And what I’m trying to say isn’t really new
It’s just the things that happen to me
When I’m reminded of you

Oh, if life were made of moments,
Even now and then a bad one–!
But if life were only moments,
Then you’d never know you had one.

There is life outside your apartment,
but you’ve got to open the door!

Every so often we long to steal
To the land of What-might-have-been
But that doesn’t soften the ache we feel
When reality sets back in.

Everyone is beautiful at the ballet.

Don’t dream it. Be it.

Playing with matches, a girl can get burned.

Forget regret or life is yours to miss!

Only once comes this particular sky
Only once these precious hours go by
Only once in a lifetime the day comes by
So live, live, live, live today!

No one should be left alone to dress
And to acessorize.
Omigod! You guys!

A sin is not a sin until a sin is seen.

Never wear mauve at a ball…
Or pink…
Or open your mouth…

Life is random and unfair.
Life is pandemonium!

Is there an answer to love?
Is it
a) what I know or
b) what I feel?
Why can’t it be “all of the above?”

You’ve gotta have heart
All you really need is heart
When the odds are sayin’ you’ll never win
That’s when the grin should start

There are worse things
Than staring at the water
As you’re posing for a picture
After sleeping on the ferry
After getting up at seven
To come over to an island
In the middle of a river
Half an hour from the city
On a Sunday.

I know it hurt to change.
It actually hurts, learning something new,
and when you full-grown, it’s harder, that’s true–
it feel like you got to break yourself apart,
it feel like you got to break your own heart,
but
folk do it. They do.

Stop worrying if your vision
is new.
Let others make that decision-
they usually do.
You keep moving on.

It’s time to try
Defying Gravity.

I just want something real,
Something right,
Something stable.
’s that too much to ask?

I’m in the market for long, loud laughter.

You can’t stop my happiness, cause I like the way I am…
And if you don’t like the way I look, well, I just don’t give a damn!
